 Colin Shattler, Mayoral candidate for the Municipality of Blanc-Sablon // Colin Shattler, candidat au poste de maire de la municipalité de Blanc-Sablon Local News October 11, 2022 - The municipal election campaign begins in Blanc-Sablon CFBS was speaking with Colin Shattler, mayoral candidate for the Municipality of Blanc-Sablon, who will be seeking election on October 30th when local voters head to the polls. Listen to the interview below where Colin Shattler answered questions on what municipal issues are at the forefront of his campaign, development potentials for the Municipality, municipal taxation rates, concerns of citizens and realities within the municipality, and why he feels that voters should elect him as the new mayor. Three candidates have submitted their names for the seat of Mayor in this election; Colin Shattler, Andrew Etheridge, and Eric Jones. Advance polling will be held on October 23rd from noon to 8pm, and the regular polling day hours on October 30th will be from 10am to 8pm. In fairness of the election coverage on CFBS, all candidates will be asked the same questions, with 1 interview offered to all three candidates in both English, and French, on CFBS airwaves. In the days leading up to the final polling day on October 30th, all candidates will be welcomed to return again with a speech if they so choose to address the electors of the Municipality for a final time before the election day. Écoutez l'entrevue ci-dessous où Colin Shattler a répondu à des questions sur les enjeux municipaux qui sont au premier plan de sa campagne, les possibilités de développement pour la municipalité, les taux d'imposition municipaux, les préoccupations des citoyens et les réalités au sein de la municipalité, et pourquoi il pense que les électeurs devraient l'élire comme nouveau maire. Trois candidats ont soumis leur nom pour le siège de maire dans cette élection : Colin Shattler, Andrew Etheridge et Eric Jones. Le vote par anticipation aura lieu le 23 octobre de midi à 20h, et le jour du scrutin, le 30 octobre, de 10h à 20h. Afin d'assurer une couverture équitable de l'élection sur CFBS, les mêmes questions seront posées à tous les candidats et une entrevue sera offerte aux trois candidats en anglais et en français sur les ondes de CFBS. Dans les jours précédant le scrutin final du 30 octobre, tous les candidats seront invités à revenir avec un discours, s'ils le souhaitent, pour s'adresser une dernière fois aux électeurs de la municipalité avant le jour de l'élection.
